I have been with WOW! since March 2008 as a part of the corporate marketing team. I have found everyday at WOW! rewarding, mostly appreciating the people that I work with and the trust that I am given. I value how our company really does do things differently. It is one thing to say you will do things a certain way, but another when you actually follow through. I guess that is why they say “actions speak louder than words.”

As for other fun facts:
• I love being in Colorado and enjoy skiing and hiking, and those green chilis you can get in the fall.
• I find traveling to other countries and seeing other cultures absolutely invigorating.

It’s NOT an Act! Technicians in WOW! Ads

Last week I wrote about the dogs that we used in our WOW! “Dogologue” commercials.  This week I want to share another fun fact about these commercials:  the technicians shown in the commercials are real WOW! employees.

Our technicians serve our customers 24 x 7, ensuring that their services are working and that the customer’s experience is one that lives up to our name.  So why should we have actors portraying them, when this is what they live and do?  And by the way, they do it with a commitment to creating WOW! Moments every day.

So let me introduce you to Bill Workman from Columbus, Ohio and Freddy Rubio from Schaumburg, Illinois.  Here are some videos showing the experience of our technicians during the filming.  I think you’ll have as much fun viewing these as we did in creating them.

WOW! – A Dog’s-Eye View

If you have not seen WOW!’s  commercials, we hope you will take a look at them on the Media page of the blog, or maybe this article will inspire you to check them out.

These commercials are what we call our “Dogologue” campaign—our made up word merging dog with monologue.  Our goal was to figure out a way to share back what we often hear from our customers—that the WOW! Experience is different.  So we thought we would tell it to you as if it were through the eyes of a dog.

We put together some background footage from the set featuring Sherman the Bulldog, Moose the Labrador, and Jesse the Jack Russell Terrier.  Which dog is your favorite?  Post a comment telling us which one and why.

Oh, and now that these commercials are out there it is up to us, in our everyday interactions, to prove to you that the experience you have with WOW!, really is one that is better.  We hope you can agree and will share with us your experience at wowmoments.com.

  1. I was thrilled to read this article. I have a bag of household Alkaline batteries at home that keeps getting bigger and bigger–we use up so many batteries with our kids swings, toys, etc. I keep looking for somewhere to recycle them and have not found anywhere that recycles Alkaline batteries, so they just keep piling up. Evidently, that is because they don’t need to be recycled and can be tossed. Thank you for this article, you just made a big contribution to my spring cleaning efforts.

  2. We are in the market for our first flat screen HD TV. So how do I decide between LED, LCD and Plasma? Some have said hands down LCD, other’s hands down Plasma and now it sounds like LED is a great option as well.

  3. We were looking at this and I think we are saving that $200 off the TV to get the TV without the apps and putting that money into the Samsung Blu Ray that has the same apps software in their Blu Ray players. Even though we are not getting a 3D TV, we are getting the 3D Blu Ray b/c it has the more advanced apps platform. Thanks for the insight!

  4. I have to admit, I am not sure I could go back there and I also invested so much time for the series. With September around the corner, my big question is what show can I find that will replace the excitement that I had each week for lost. So far I have heard that Modern Family is great, but I am looking for a good drama. Does anyone have any ideas?

  6. Libby, I was waiting to see your season picks. I am excited for Gossip Girl, The Good Wife and yes, I still am a Grey’s Anatomy fan. I am looking for a good drama to replace Lost and heard that The Event might be a good one, and am looking forward to looking at your picks for more ideas. Thanks.

  8. I agree it is much better at Disneyland. For those of you who have been on the ride since you were kids, you will now notice that they made additional pirates that look like Johnny Depp throughout. Those are new and get the ride to tie into the movie property, even though the ride was first.
